Developed using technologically advanced polymer structures, the Cureflex® waterproofing range offers the construction industry superior products that provide effective and reliable waterproofing protection that lasts.
The Cureflex® waterproofing range consists of a number of primers, waterproofing membranes and bandages that offer solutions for a wide variety of waterproofing applications such as wet area substrates, balconies, terraces, as well as completely submerged applications such as swimming pools or water tanks just to name a few.

Cureflex® Primers
PG57-01

Cureflex® PG57 Primer

Cureflex® PG57 is a high performance liquid primer that can do much more than just prime substrates.

It can be used as a general purpose primer over open, porous surfaces or as a liquid additive to cementitious construction adhesives and membranes.

Cureflex® PG57 is a non-tacky, styrene-acrylic polymer, engineered for both commercial and domestic use as a high performance bonding agent.

Using it as an additive in other products will increase strength, improve flexibility and workability, increase adhesion properties and extending working time.

SUITABLE MATERIALS

Suitable for use on:

  • Concrete, screed and Hebel.
  • Plasterboard and Scyon.

PRIMING USES

CURING & COVERAGE
  • Ensure concrete slab has cured for a minimum of 28 days before priming.
  • Ensure screeds have cured for a minimum of 7 days before priming.
  • All substrates must be clean and free from any contaminants before application.
  • Typical applications will only require 1 coat. Very porous surfaces may require a 2nd coat.
  • Apply evenly over all surfaces, while carefully avoiding pooling.
  • Allow the product to dry completely before the subsequent application of any membranes or adhesives.
  • Will not prime surfaces or cure when applied to non-porous materials such as cured membranes, metals, plastics (Use Cureflex® LS151 instead).

Cureflex® LS151 Resurfacing Primer

Cureflex® LS-151 Resurfacing Primer provides a high strength film over non-porous surfaces creating an excellent new surface that allows tiling, rendering, and other construction materials to adhere to without the aid of expensive, hazardous epoxy/polyurethane adhesives.

  • Insitu® products including shower bases, niches and balcony panels.

  • Exposed metal surfaces such as aluminium, stainless steel, brass, copper, even galvanised iron.
  • Polished surfaces such as porcelain
  • Solid timber boards that have been sealed (with a lacquer for example).
  • Glazed surfaces such as ceramic tiles, glass bench-tops, glass splash-backs and other sealed surfaces
  • Other non-porous and shiny surfaces including PVC and ABS plastics, vinyl, paint, laminex, epoxy and polyurethane finishes.

CURING & COVERAGE
  • Ensure waterproof membranes have cured for a minimum of 24 hours.
  • All substrates must be clean and free from any contaminants before application.
  • Typical applications will only require 1 coat. 
  • Apply evenly over all surfaces, while carefully avoiding pooling.

Allow the product to dry completely before the subsequent application of any membranes or adhesives (15-30 minutes, temp. dependant).

Cureflex® SLR2000 Waterproof Membrane

Cureflex® SLR2000 is a Class III commercial grade, one-part waterproof membrane that provides a protective barrier over substrates in wet areas. It is designed for both interior and exterior use*.

Providing strong adhesion properties yet remaining extremely flexible after curing, it offers the performance benefits of both polyurethane and acrylic based membranes. Plus it’s easily recognised by its vibrant violet colour.

When fully cured, the unique formulation provides an excellent compatible surface for bonding other construction materials such as tile adhesives, renders, screeds without the fear of material rejection.

Developed using technologically advanced polymer structures, Cureflex® SLR2000 has superior flexible elastomeric properties (FEP), offering outstanding waterproofing advantages such as low water vapour transmission properties and the ability to withstand permanently wet conditions without fear of re-emulsification.

 

*Cureflex® UVX4000 is recommended for areas with high UV exposure and can be applied as a top coat over SLR2000.

  • 2 coats are recommended for general wet area applications (minimum coverage of 1.5L/m2).
  • Requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions, usually applied on the first coat (Cureflex® Flexiban recommended).

Cureflex® UVX4000 Waterproof Membrane

Cureflex® UVX4000 is a Class III, industrial grade, flexible membrane that doubles as both a waterproof membrane and thermal barrier.

Cureflex® UVX4000 is engineered for applications over roof, floor and wall substrates to reduce heat absorption into buildings, providing potential energy savings to home or business owners.

It offers a high-build application that leaves a flexible and seamless finish that can withstand harsh and varying climatic conditions. It can be applied externally over floor surfaces or on pitched or flat roof areas.

Cureflex® UVX4000 provides the benefits of a durable sheet membrane with the unique feature of a multi-layer, seamless finish. This eliminates joins, overlaps and other risk points associated with welding and abutting traditional sheet membrane systems.

Cureflex® UVX4000 can withstand permanent exposure in varying climate conditions and UV light. It is designed as a 100% trafficable membrane that cures with a rough, course surface that provides excellent non-slip properties.

  • 2 coats is recommended for general wet area applications (minimum coverage of 1.5L/m2 ).
  • Requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions, usually applied on the first coat (Cureflex® Flexiban recommended).

Cureflex® PCM-17 Waterproof Membrane

Cureflex® PCM17 is a fast drying, two-part polymer cementitious waterproof membrane that is suitable for a wide variety of waterproofing applications including;

 

  • Applications over Insitu® shower bases, niches and balcony panels.
  • Balconies, terraces and facades.
  • Water features and swimming pools.
  • Retaining walls and planter boxes.
  • Water tanks and other water storage

 

With a 1:1.5 mix ratio of Part A (liquid) and Part B (powder), Cureflex® PCM17 waterproof coating is easy to use and apply. The formula utilises a new ‘cross-collateralisation’ technique in powdered polymer technology, offering excellent surface adhesion for overlaid finished such as screeds and tile adhesives.

Cureflex® PCM17 is a Class II membrane that complies with the AS/NZS 4858:2004 and exceeds the AS3740 requirements set out under ‘Waterproofing wet areas in residential buildings’ codes. Tested and approved by CSIRO Technical Assessment No. 349.

  • Suitable for applications on non-porous surfaces when primed using Cureflex® LS151.
  • Requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions, usually applied on the first coat (Cureflex® Flexiban recommended).

 

COVERAGE & CURING
  • 2 coats is recommended for general wet area applications (minimum coverage of 1.5L/m2 ).
  • 3 coats is recommended for immersed/subterranean applications (minimum coverage of 2.0L/m2 ).
  • Pot life of mixed membrane is approximately 1 hour (23°C).

 

 
NP140 (500 × 500px)

Cureflex® NP140 Waterproof Membrane

Cureflex® NP140 has been specifically engineered as a flexible, cementitious, waterproofing membrane suitable for use over wet* substrates in a range of positive and negative waterproofing applications.

Cureflex® NP140 can be used;

  • in immersed applications such as water features and swimming pools.
  • for retaining walls, planter boxes and walls built below water tables.
  • on roofs and roof areas (that will be covered by other surface toppings).
  • for repairs to non-exposed gutters and potable water storage tanks.
  • on internal/external basement walls.
  • on balconies, podiums and terraces.
  • in lift shafts and lift pits.
  • and in other wet areas
*Cureflex® NP140 performs best on damp surfaces. Do not apply directly over surfaces with ponding. Remove all excess water prior to application.
PREPARATION & APPLICATION
  • All substrates must be clean and free from any contaminants before application.
  • Suitable for applications on porous surfaces when primed using water.
  • Can also be applied over the top of non-cured Cureflex® PG57.
  • Pre-dampen substrates with light water mist (weed sprayer or similar).
  • Requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions (Cureflex® Flexiban recommended)
 
COVERAGE & CURING
  • For general waterproofing (positive pressure) a minimum 1.5mm dried film thickness is required (0.8L/1.2kg/ m2 per mm layer thickness).
  • For immersed and negative pressure applications a minimum 2.0mm dried film thickness is required (0.8L/1.2kg/ m2 per mm layer thickness).
  • Pot life of mixed membrane is approximately 1 hour (23°C).
