waterproof coating
Cureflex – 2PART PCM-17 waterproof coating uses a new technique in “cross-collateralisation” in Powdered Polymer Technology (PPT), providing outstanding adhesion properties over a variety of building substrates such as concrete, masonry, Hebel panels, renders, compressed sheeting, cement sheet underlays, villa board, cement based compounds and all grade plaster board.
Cureflex 2PART PCM-17 also offers excellent surface adhesion properties for typical overlaid finishes such as screeds, renders and tile adhesives.

INTRODUCTION
Cureflex® PCM17 is a fast drying, two-part waterproof membrane that is suitable for a wide variety of waterproofing applications including...
- Applications over Insitu® shower bases, niches and balcony panels.
- Balconies, terraces and facades.
- Water features and swimming pools.
- Retaining walls and planter boxes.
- Water tanks and other water storage
With a 1:1.5 mix ratio of Part A (liquid) and Part B (powder), Cureflex® PCM17 waterproof coating is easy to use and apply. The formula utilises a new ‘cross-collateralisation’ technique in powdered polymer technology, offering excellent surface adhesion for overlaid finished such as screeds and tile adhesives.
Cureflex® PCM17 is a Class II membrane that complies with the AS/NZS 4858:2004 and exceeds the AS3740 requirements set out under ‘Waterproofing wet areas in residential buildings’ codes. Tested and approved by CSIRO Technical Assessment No. 349.
PREPARATION & APPLICATION
- All substrates must be clean and free from any contaminants before application.
- Suitable for applications on porous surfaces when primed using Cureflex® PG57.
- Suitable for applications on non-porous surfaces when primed using Cureflex® LS151.
- Requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions, usually applied on the first coat (Cureflex® Flexiban recommended).
COVERAGE & CURING
- 2 coats is recommended for general wet area applications (minimum coverage of 1.5L/m2 ).
- 3 coats is recommended for immersed/subterranean applications (minimum coverage of 2.0L/m2 ).
