Construction Begins on the 2025 House for Life in Tarragindi!

We have some thrilling news to share! The construction of the 2025 House for Life, an inspiring initiative by Plantation Homes, has officially kicked off in Tarragindi. This remarkable project features a beautiful four-bedroom, two-bathroom home that will be built and auctioned off, thanks to the generous support of trades and suppliers donating their time and services.

This marks a significant milestone for us as it is our very first charity project since expanding into Queensland. We are honoured to contribute to this noble cause by providing our Pre-Formed Shower Bases, ensuring a solid foundation for such an important endeavour.

The House for Life will go under the hammer in 2025, with all proceeds benefiting seriously ill and premature babies receiving specialised care at Mater Hospital. This year's auction is especially significant as it is the 10th iteration of the House for Life initiative.

A remarkable partnership between the Mater Foundation and Plantation Homes drives this project. Over the years, they have constructed and auctioned several homes, with all proceeds supporting the Mater Little Miracles program. To date, this generous collaboration has raised over $6.5 million, showcasing the incredible power of community and teamwork.

What truly sets this project apart is the collective effort of an extensive network of trades and suppliers who are coming together to contribute their expertise and resources to build this exceptional home. Last year, the House for Life in Helensvale raised an astonishing $1,489,000, demonstrating the community's commitment to this worthy cause.

This year's home is a stunning two-storey Mirage 399 D43, situated on a spacious 607 square metre block. Moreover, it proudly marks the first Knock Down Rebuild House for Life, setting a new precedent for future projects.

The funds raised from the auction will play a crucial role in improving outcomes for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients at Mater Hospital. Contributions from this initiative will help fund life-saving research, advanced care, and essential equipment, ensuring that all babies—more than 50 of whom rely on state-of-the-art ventilators—receive the best possible start in life.

Stay tuned for more updates as we progress toward the auction in early 2025!
